After receiving much praise for his innovative designs, Johann opens a second, larger workshop in linke Hahnenbachstrasse 15.
As demand for his creations grow, Johann promptly adds a store to his business. The leather maker is now a merchant.
Business continues to flourish. With 5 staff and son Alois onboard, Johann widens his product range to include small leather goods.
Staff has risen to 20, and with Alois now at the helm, the company begins to produce fine leather goods at a new factory in Halmerweg.
Hans-Werner, Alois’ eldest son, joins the business after graduating from the prestigious Offenbach School of Arts and Crafts. Once onboard, he takes over the technical management of the firm.
Hans-Werner modernises production and takes it to new levels. Around this time the business grows into a family partnership and adopts the name Johann Braun Company.
Alois’ youngest son, Karl-Heinz, joins the burgeoning enterprise and begins to carve out a niche in the fine leather goods market.
Braun Büffel launches the first ladies’ collection which features a luxurious range of workwear and leather bags.
Expansion across Asia Pacific reaches as far as Singapore where Braun Büffel products begin to attract shoppers at prominent retail locations.
Christiane Brunk, daughter of Karl-Heinz joins the now global enterprise. With her unparalleled sense of style, she embarks on plans to transform Braun Büffel into an international lifestyle icon.
